In realization of the need for skilled technicians for the development of society, Government of Kerala established Govt. Polytechnic College Pala in 1984. The institution started its journey with an intake of 15 students each in two branches, Electronics Engineering, Instrument Technology. Computer Engineering diploma course started in 1985. With the addition of Electrical and Electronics branch in 2013 the number of programs increased to four and the intake at present is 240 students. Many students who passed out from this institution have achieved great heights in their personal as well as professional life and have also brought glory to the nation with their contributions. The college is situated at Kanattupara, 2 kilometers away from Pala town in the Pala- Thodupuzha road.
I have great pleasure in expressing my thoughts as the Principal of Government Polytechnic College, Pala. This institution presents a good choice when one consider about Diploma level Technical Education today. We pride ourselves on being a Government institution. Engineers & technologists form the backbone of any nation’s economic development and with globalization, the competition in all walks of life has just become steeper.
Education is not an act of acquiring knowledge but learning a skill to lead life and forming one’s personality. This is an ennobling process of growth.
