The institution started its journey with an intake of 15 students each in two branches, Electronics Engineering, Instrument Technology. Computer Engineering diploma course started in 1985. With the addition of Electrical and Electronics branch in 2013 the number of programs increased to four and the intake at present is 240 students.  Many students who passed out from this institution have achieved great heights in their personal as well as professional life and have also brought glory to the nation with their contributions. The college is situated at Kanattupara, 2 kilometers away from Pala town in the Pala- Thodupuzha road.
